The only problem with that is currently there has been an industry wide problem with the
sixteen S.E.E.R. units and the other higher efficiency units as well. The problem revolves
around the reversing valve.
This is not just one brand this is at least several large brands
that have a long history in the heating and cooling industry (not going to mention any one
particular unit manufacturer for good reason) needless to say they are aware of it.
Some have been selling them knowing of the problem and just setting around to see which
particular unit might exhibit the problem and which ones will not. At least this is the opinion I
felt given the facts at hand. I recently dealt with a customer that called us to get help with a unit
that had problems then we did some research and found out about this issue. The customer
found out that the issue was even known to them before they bought the unit they own.
So much for those handy dandy service bulletins.
